Will this work with my xDrive BMW? Yes. Our digital gauge clusters are compatible with both rear-wheel-drive and xDrive-equipped vehicles within the supported chassis. Certain supported BMW platforms may also include front-wheel-drive configurations.
Will installing the cluster cause warning lights or error codes? The digital gauge cluster is not designed to create warning lights or drivability issues. However, because an aftermarket instrument cluster communicates directly with the vehicle’s electronic modules, certain BMW configurations may occasionally store a communication-related fault code associated with the instrument cluster. These types of stored communication codes do not necessarily indicate a mechanical or drivability problem.
Can I pass a vehicle inspection with the digital gauge cluster installed? Inspection requirements vary significantly by country, state, province, and local jurisdiction. From there, slide the digital gauge cluster into position, connect the factory wiring, install the chassis-specific outer bezel over the display, and securely reinstall everything into the dashboard. The included update cable can then be routed to a convenient and accessible location for future software updates.
Is this a plug-and-play upgrade? Yes. This is designed as a plug-and-play upgrade and does not require coding simply to make the digital gauge cluster function. Once everything is properly connected, the cluster should power on and communicate with the vehicle automatically. After installation, you can enter the cluster settings menu to configure available display options, preferences, units, and other supported settings.
Does the digital gauge cluster require coding? No coding is normally required for basic operation. The cluster is designed to communicate directly with the supported BMW chassis once installed. Certain settings and display preferences can be adjusted directly through the cluster’s built-in menu without modifying the vehicle’s factory coding.
Does installation require cutting or modifying the dashboard? For most supported BMW models, no cutting or permanent dashboard modification is required. Does this digital gauge cluster display accurate mileage? Yes. Our digital gauge cluster is designed to read mileage data directly from the vehicle’s onboard systems, allowing the displayed mileage to match the mileage stored by the vehicle.
Once properly installed and communicating with the vehicle, the cluster should display the vehicle’s mileage accurately, similar to the factory instrument cluster.
Will my mileage automatically appear when I install the digital gauge cluster? Yes. Once the digital gauge cluster is connected and powered on, the vehicle’s stored mileage should automatically populate on the display.
Before removing your factory cluster, we strongly recommend taking a clear photo of the original mileage for your records. This gives you a reference point if you ever reinstall the factory cluster or need to compare mileage later.
Will the mileage continue increasing normally while I drive? Yes. Once the digital gauge cluster is properly installed and communicating with the vehicle, the displayed mileage will continue updating as the vehicle is driven.
Will installing the digital gauge cluster cause a tamper dot? No. The digital gauge cluster is designed primarily to read vehicle data rather than overwrite the mileage information stored by the vehicle.
Because the cluster is reading the vehicle’s stored mileage rather than replacing the factory mileage data, installation itself should not create a mileage tamper indication.

Are the digital gauge clusters heat and humidity resistant? Yes. The housing and internal design are built with normal automotive cabin temperatures and humidity in mind.

We recommend keeping the desiccant packet and placing it securely behind the dashboard near the gauge cluster after installation, provided it does not interfere with any wiring, ventilation, or moving components.

What does the warranty cover? The manufacturer warranty is intended to cover qualifying internal hardware failures or display-related defects that occur under normal use, such as an internal electronic failure or a display that stops functioning properly without physical damage.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, impacts, cracked screens, liquid intrusion, unauthorized software modifications, improper wiring, accidents, or other forms of physical or user-caused damage.

How does a warranty replacement work? Approved warranty claims are generally handled as a replacement of the qualifying defective unit.
Once a warranty replacement has been issued for the original unit, that claim is considered fulfilled for that specific failure. Shipping costs to or from our facility may be the customer’s responsibility depending on the circumstances and location, while the qualifying replacement cluster itself is covered according to the applicable warranty terms.
Are the clusters tested before shipping? Yes. Each unit goes through quality-assurance checks before fulfillment at our US-Based facility, although international orders may be tested and checked at out EU/Asia distribution centers. Factory Functions & Options
Will I retain my factory features after installing the digital gauge cluster? Yes. The digital gauge cluster is designed to retain the factory functions and warning information normally displayed through the original instrument cluster.
This includes standard vehicle warnings, indicator lights, status information, and other supported factory data.
Please note that certain behaviors may vary depending on the BMW chassis, trim level, and vehicle configuration. M models in particular may display certain M-specific functions differently, including how some M buttons, driving modes, or related indicators are shown.
Will cruise control still work with this digital gauge cluster? Yes. Cruise control functionality is retained.
Once the cluster is installed and bonded to the vehicle, customers can enter the digital gauge cluster settings and enable the cruise control configuration that corresponds with their specific BMW.

Can I adjust the RPM range on the digital gauge cluster? On the newer V2.0 digital gauge cluster, the tachometer range can be adjusted to support different engine configurations, including approximately 6,000 RPM, 6,500 RPM, and 8,000 RPM display ranges.
The V1.0 non-CarPlay version uses a preset 8,000 RPM scale.
On certain high-revving M models, such as the E9X M3, the factory redline can extend slightly beyond the displayed 8,000 RPM range. In those cases, the uppermost portion of the factory RPM range may not be represented visually on the tachometer scale.
Will I still get all of my factory warning lights? Yes. The digital gauge cluster is designed to display the same core warning information that would normally appear on the factory instrument cluster.
This includes supported warnings for vehicle systems, lighting, doors, trunk status, and other factory alerts.
Certain visual behaviors or animations may differ from the original cluster. For example, some BMW models perform specific gauge sweeps or startup animations with the factory cluster, and those behaviors may not be reproduced exactly the same way on the digital display.
Is there a dedicated area for warning messages and vehicle errors? Yes. The digital gauge cluster includes a dedicated Check Control display area located toward the lower center portion of the screen.
This area can display supported vehicle warnings and status messages such as:
- Bulb-out warnings

Will my turn signals still display on the digital cluster? Yes. The digital gauge cluster is designed to retain turn-signal indicators so left and right signal activity continues to display normally through the cluster.
