What is BimmerFever and Who Are They?

 

Founded in 2023, BimmerFever is the brainchild of a group of passionate BMW enthusiasts with one wild yet inspiring goal: to unite BMW owners from across the metroplex and beyond under one banner. From late-night drift meets to formal Cars & Coffee events at local BMW dealerships—even unique gatherings like “BMWs and Tacos” (yes, that’s a real thing)—there’s one common thread: a love for BMWs.

 

Whether it’s debating the superiority of the S58 over the B58 or declaring the E46 M3 as the best M3 of all time, these events bring people together. However, each meet tends to cater to its own culture and crowd. BimmerFever saw an opportunity to go beyond these divisions, creating a space where BMW enthusiasts from all over North Texas—and even further—could come together as one.

 

And come together, they did. The 2024 event saw caravans of F80 M3s and G82 M4s traveling from cities like Houston and Austin just to be part of the action.

 

When we spoke with BimmerFever’s head organizer, we asked about the mission behind these events. His response:

 

“We’re dedicated to uniting BMW enthusiasts from all walks of life, creating a vibrant, inclusive community that celebrates the passion, performance, and precision of BMW. Our mission is to bring people together—whether you’re a long-time owner or a new enthusiast—to share experiences, knowledge, and camaraderie, all while fostering a sense of pride in the BMW brand.”

 

It’s clear that BimmerFever is more than just another car meet. This isn’t about making a quick buck or catering to a niche crowd. It’s about fostering pride in the BMW community, uniting enthusiasts to create something truly special—a celebration of what makes BMW ownership so unique.

Our Experience at BimmerFever 2024

 

BimmerFever 2024 took place in the heart of Texas at the renowned Lone Star Park, a perfect backdrop for this incredible event. Without a doubt, this was one of the most enjoyable BMW meets we’ve ever attended, combining classic professionalism with a fresh, modern vibe. From start to finish, the event radiated energy, excitement, and a strong sense of community.

 

As we strolled through the venue, we were greeted by friendly automotive pop-up stands offering free merchandise like T-shirts and lanyards, with additional items available for purchase, even the popular hydration beverage company 'PRIME' was present. Vendors showcased a wide range of services and products, from carbon fiber steering wheels available on the spot to on-site dent removal consultations.

 

And, of course, the cars! Every generation of BMW was proudly represented, from classic E30s and E36s to cutting-edge builds like award-winning F90 M5s and G82 M4s with tens of thousands of dollars in upgrades. Walking through rows of hundreds of incredible vehicles, we found ourselves nodding in appreciation at unique builds, each telling its own story.

 

Then, in the middle of it all, we heard the unmistakable roar of engines and the screech of tires. Intrigued, we followed the sounds to discover that BimmerFever 2024 featured its very own X Cross course. Watching BMWs tearing through the track with precision and style added an exhilarating edge to an already unforgettable day.

A Timed X-Cross Course in the Heart of Texas

 

We were pleasantly surprised to discover that BimmerFever 2024 featured a fully equipped timed X-Cross event, complete with guide cones and independent drone video coverage capturing the action from above. This thrilling event was open to all drivers who purchased a ticket and were waved in to test their skills.

 

The setup was simple yet exhilarating: cars launched from a dead stop, tires screeching as they catapulted forward. Drivers accelerated through 2nd and 3rd gears before quickly downshifting into sharp left-hand turns, maneuvering through a series of twists and bends with the ultimate goal of avoiding cones and clocking the fastest time possible.

 

One standout moment was watching a Marlboro Tobacco-wrapped E92 M3 dominate the course. With each attempt, the driver improved their time, their precision and confidence drawing an enthusiastic crowd that cheered them on. The energy was electric as spectators rallied behind the drivers, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. This X-Cross event added a layer of excitement we never expected to see at North Texas’ own Lone Star Park. The opportunity for public participation and the competitive spirit made it a highlight of BimmerFever 2024.

BimmerFever shows no signs of slowing down. With 2025 just kicking off, this passionate group of BMW enthusiasts is just getting started! Known for their annual gatherings that attract cars from all over Texas, they’ve built a reputation as the go-to event for BMW owners looking to experience the magic firsthand.

 

When we asked their lead organizer about the future, he shared:

 

“We aim to grow the Texas BMW community by organizing events, promoting collaboration, and providing a platform where individuals can connect, learn, and showcase their cars. We want to build a stronger network of BMW owners and fans, all driven by a love for the ultimate driving machine.”
