From the factory, the crank hub setup on these engines can allow the crank bolt to loosen or the hub to micro-slip under high load, hard downshifts, or repeated launches. When that happens, timing can jump—leading to misfires, loss of power, or in the worst cases, catastrophic engine damage.
This kit is designed to mechanically “capture” the crank bolt, locking it in place so it can’t unwind under vibration or shock. Once installed, the bolt is effectively trapped, dramatically reducing the risk of rotation and timing drift vs. a stock-style setup.
Whether your car is stage 1, full bolt-on, or regularly sees track days, this is one of the smartest preventative upgrades you can do on an N55 or S55 platform.
