Great product
If you own an M8, you know how hard it is to find an actual oil cooler guard for these cars. I’ve had my M8 for about a year now and have been looking everywhere for one. Almost every other option I found says the M5 oil cooler guard will fit, but that’s not actually correct.
I just ordered this one and honestly I’m so excited I figured I’d leave a review already lol. I emailed BAVMODS before ordering and they told me they’ve actually been working on this themselves and spent a lot of time figuring out the proper fitment with people in Europe and Asia.
I’ve seen way too many pictures of M8 oil coolers getting damaged, and that’s definitely something I don’t want to deal with. It’s nice to finally see an actual M8-specific guard instead of something that’s just being advertised as “compatible.”
Can’t wait to install it. I’ll update the review once I get it on the car, but for now I’m just really glad someone finally made one that actually fits the M8!!
Took all of 5 minutes to pop off the old covers and install the new carbon fiber M type covers. Instantly gorgeous and popped right in place!

Couldn’t be happier with the Bavmods mirror caps. The quality is excellent, the fitment was perfect, and they completely changed the look of my car. On top of that, their customer support was a huge help throughout the process. They answered my questions quickly and made everything easy. Great product backed by great service—I definitely recommend Bavmods!
